When you pick up your completed vehicle from CARS R US, the paint is about 90% cured. Basic weather elements will not damage your new finish. However, here are some important tips to help extend the life and beauty of your vehicle.
You can hand wash your car anytime with a mild soap and water; it will not damage your new finish but be sure to wait 60 days before waxing.
Try to wash your car away from direct sunlight and hot temperatures.
Do not park your car near lawn sprinklers as hard water spots combined with heat may cause staining.
Try not to park beneath trees in order to avoid both tree sap and bird droppings. If you see either on your car, immediately wipe it all off.
Be sure to wash your car frequently in winter to remove salt and mud. Washing inside your wheel wells and underneath your vehicle will help to prevent premature rusting.
Avoid brush car washes. Repeated trips will damage the top layer of paint, which will leave your car looking dull and unprotected from damaging ultraviolet light. Even just one trip can leave your car with ugly swirl marks or worse, damage from debris left on the brushes from previous cars.
Last, but not least, don’t forget to show off your beautiful new finish to all of your friends!
