Chris |
Chris (second from the left in photo) grew up in Pierce, Nebraska where he learned the trade from his father who owned the local body shop and taught auto body at Norfolk Community College. Chris honed his welding skills at age 8 by making chicken pickers (a fork-like machine that de-feathered chickens). He quickly graduated to working on customers cars and became one of the best metal technicians in Nebraska. His first restoration was a 1974 Ford Mustang II completed when he was fifteen years old. At age sixteen he was the youngest member of the Nebraska Auto Body Association and by nineteen he served as an area representative on the NABA board. He spent fifteen of his adult years working in and managing repair shops where he continued to gain knowledge from the old timers and information from technical seminars. Chris is a certified ASE Master Collision Repair/Refinish Tech and has 26 I-CAR class credits. He currently serves on the Nebraska Auto Body board. Chris strongly believes in apprenticeship and welcomes teaching others. He has always had a special love for graphics and paintwork and enjoys creating one-of-a-kind designs. Check out his flames in the photo gallery.

Mindy |
| Mindy abandoned her budding career as a violinist in 1989 to pursue her love of cars by working in the collision repair industry and thats what she has been doing ever since. Thanks to the mentoring and support she received from her employers and members of the Nebraska Auto Body Association, she has excelled in estimating, customer service and shop management. She has both her ASE estimating certification and many I-CAR class credits. Mindy most enjoys spending time with customers and making everyone feel welcome. Mindy has joined her husband working part time at CARS R US and now able to teach violin and fiddle privately. |
